AKA: King Street to The Gardiner, Dufferin to Strachan Avenue.
Neighbourhood Snapshot
Exploding with socioeconomic diversity, Liberty Village is a sleek and modern downtown neighbourhood that’s managed to maintain a bit of its Parkdale edge. Living in Liberty Village means buying into a lifestyle, not just buying a place. If you own a car and are living in Liberty Village, there is a good chance you only drive to and from work. This is a super accessible area with easy streetcar access and Exhibition GO train station at your doorstep.
What Makes It Cool
It’s the ultimate for anyone who wants to be totally immersed in city life. Living in Liberty Village means having great art galleries, a diverse selection of food and booze options, and a great collection of patios for the warmer months at your doorstep.
Might Not Be For You If...
You’ll be dependent on the Dufferin Bus. It may seem like the easiest way up to the Bloor-Danforth line, but it somehow manages to always be crammed, regardless of the time of day.
Meet Your Neighbours
Who’s living in Liberty Village? Singles and young couples. There’s not a lot of family-friendly options in the area as it’s dominated by media savvy tech workers.

Highlights
Yes, Cadillac Lounge is a block outside of the neighbourhood border, but this rockabilly themed joint has been around pre-Liberty Village. The pub menu is a little on the "meh" side, but the craft brews and cocktails are what you are here for. With one of the largest patios on Queen West, it feels more like a backyard deck, especially when they play B-films outback on a projector.
Mildred's Temple Kitchen is open for all meals, but they’re known for their weekend brunches that usually involve a heavy line up. Understandable, as this is the perfect spot for a massive Cesar the morning after a great night out.
You can't have a young and hipster-focused area without a gourmet cupcake shop–and For The Love of Cake will not disappoint. Get your expensive jogging pants on and enjoy those half a dozen maple bacon cupcakes.
